Prof. Rafael Andrade completed his general surgery and cardiothoracic surgery training in the US in 2003. He has been a staff thoracic surgeon at the University of Minnesota since 2004. Currently, he is the Chief of the Division of General Thoracic and Forget Surgery, and his areas of interest include innovative approaches to thoracic surgery, diaphragm surgery, 3D bioprinting of trachea and esophagus and reducing the environmental footprint of the operating room.
